Tintin Wulia

Born in 1972, Denpasar. She lives and works in Brisbane.

She trained as an architect, composer and artist in Indonesia, the USA, and Australia (B.Mus. Film Scoring - Berklee College of Music 1997, B.Eng. Architecture - Universitas Katolik Parahyangan 1998, PhD Art - RMIT University 2014). Her works engage with the cross-border sociopolitical structures of the imbalanced, globalising world. Wulia has exhibited in major international shows such as Istanbul Biennale (2005), Yokohama Triennale (2005), Jakarta Biennale (2009), Moscow Biennale (2011), Gwangju Biennale (2012), Asia Pacific Triennale (2012), Jogja Biennale (2013) and Sharjah Biennale (2013). Her work is part of public and private collections including in the Singapore Art Museum, Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art, He Xiangning Art Museum and Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum where it is part of the permanent exhibition. Tintin Wulia is a recipient of the Australia Council of the Arts’ Creative Australia Fellowship 2014-2016.
